Mistake I made in my coding journey

Getting in coding and programming was very exciting and exhilarating for me. Like so many people, this exposure began with an introduction to html and building static web pages and the experience opened a new chapter in my life. I was taken in my the sheer spectacle of turning basically gibberish at that time to actual webpages and this curiosity expanded with the knowledge that there were so many other languages that could do so many other things
Mistake Number 1 - No definite plan While I’m not against an initial exploration in the technology space, it’s very easy to get captivated and want to be and do so many things at once that you end up doing nothing. I did not have any initial plan and was exploring the tech space out of sheer curiosity which is fine but my aim wasn’t to either get good at one concept, I was in for the thrill of doing something new and writing a source code in a new language every week. I started learning html and css and decided to learn it alongside over 5 or 6 other languages. I tried learning python, C, C++, JavaScript and Ruby at the exact same time. At that time I didn’t even know the differences between these languages except syntax. I didn’t even know what they could be used for except html ( lol I keep adding html even though it’s not a programming language, don’t cancel me yet ). I just wanted to learn everything about the syntax of these languages and ended up learning nothing. Never went far in any of them at that time and by the time my curiosity fizzled out, I was left with a bunch of languages that I didn’t know what to do with or use for except the wow of seeing your terminal display code output.
Part 2……buffering 78%
